Happy Friday! Today in the What Caught My Eye series, we’ll be diving into all that World Market has to offer!

World Market is a great place to shop for your home if your decorating style falls into one of these major categories: global eclectic, mid-century, or farmhouse. They have furniture and decor for every room in your house and the vast majority of it is very affordable! You can shop online for just about everything and if you have a retail location near you, it’s worth stopping in - you can see a nice amount of their furniture collection in person and they’ve got a fantastic selection smaller household goods (think kitchenware and dining essentials, along with a lot of decorative items).

If you haven’t browsed World Market’s site lately, you might be surprised at what you find. They’ve really expanded and have a lot of “lookalike” pieces that you might find for much higher prices elsewhere. I’ve got a great example of one below - read on!

Before we jump into my favorite finds, I have a few notes/disclaimers about shopping there:

  • A lot of their casegoods are made of solid wood, which is a rarity in the budget-friendly furniture world! Be sure to take a look at each piece individually, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by that. Solid wood doesn’t necessarily equate to heirloom-quality piece, but it’s better than particle board or MDF.

  • You get what you pay for in the upholstered furniture department. I’ll be honest - it’s hard for me to trust that a sofa is going to be comfortable and durable when it’s priced at less than $1,000 no matter where I’m shopping. I’ve sat on a few of their pieces and they’re not always the most comfortable, but the styles are spot on.

  • Watch out for high shipping surcharges. They will often have a free shipping promo going on, but there’s often a surcharge tacked on that will still apply. It’s not always huge, but I figured I’d pass that tidbit along!

Now let’s take a look at what caught my eye. Below each image you’ll find links to the products. If it’s easier for you, you can scroll down to the very bottom of the post where I you can scroll through individual clickable images that will take you right to the pieces on the World Market website. (If you’re on a feed reader or in your email, you’ll need to head to the full site to access that feature.)

World Market Living and Dining Room Favorites

World Market is one of my favorite places to shop for global, mid-century, and eclectic furniture and decor, and I’ve rounded up a bunch of my favorites for your living and dining rooms to share with you! // #designerfinds #interiordesign #decor #ec…

Wood & Brass Inlay Sideboard | Modern Leather Dining Chair | Black Tripod Lamp | Multicolor Tassel Lumbar Pillow | Blush Velvet Lumbar Pillow | Dark Blue Modern Sofa | Rattan Chair | Indigo Shibori Stool Ottoman | Tapered Wood Side Table | Rustic Modern Dining Table | Modern Brass Multi-Arm Chandelier | Slipcovered White Dining Chair | Mid-Century Eclectic Planter | Tufted Tribal Rug | Mid-Century Task Lamp

Let’s chat about a few of these pieces individually!

  • Black Tripod Lamp: The clean lines on this sleek floor lamp immediately caught my attention. The little brass “collar” detail makes it feel just a tiny bit special too. I can picture this next to a sofa or even in a bedroom to light up a dark corner.

  • Rustic Modern Dining Table: Made of reclaimed pine and iron, this table makes a statement. You can’t see it from the angle shown here, but the top has a cool design to it that gives it a rustic look that contrasts beautifully with the modern black base.

  • Slipcovered White Dining Chair: Remember when I said World Market has some great lookalike pieces that mimic ones from higher end retailers? Well, this is one of them. It’s eerily similar to this chair from Restoration Hardware and half the price!

  • Tufted Tribal Rug: World Market has a pretty awesome selection of rugs. A lot of them fall into the tribal, Persian-esque, or eclectic variety and come in various sizes and colors. Definitely take a look through the collection if you haven’t before.

World Market Bedroom Favorites

Brass Geometric Mirror | Gray Channel Tufted Bed | White Mid-Century 2-Drawer Nightstand | Wicker Nest Pendant Light | Blue & Red Persian Style Rug | Blue Pillow Sham | Neutral Tribal Pillow Sham | Graywash 3 Drawer Dresser | Indigo Blue Stripe Headboard | Rattan Headboard | Pink Tufted Bench | Carved Wood Settee |

Here are some notes about a few of these pieces:

  • Gray Channel Tufted Bed: This bed is so fun and different, in large part due to the channel tufting. Channel tufting, if you’re not familiar, is a vertical, straight-line tufting pattern. It’s modern and sleek, and fits in perfectly with those splayed brass legs.

  • Wicker Nest Pendant Light: This light would be perfect at the Corolla Beach House project I introduced earlier this week, but we don’t have a spot for it at this point. I’m tucking it away in the back of my mind for the future though! It would look great in a bedroom, but you could also put it over a smaller dining table or hang a couple over a kitchen island.

  • Blue & Red Persian Style Rug: Here’s another great rug! The saturated colors in this one remind me of a true vintage style. Use it on its own or layer it over a jute natural fiber rug.

  • Pink Tufted Bench: If you have space for a bench at the end of your bed, add one! This pink tufted number is lovely, and it also comes in a more neutral light gray. Have a higher bed? Try putting a settee at the foot of it like this carved wood one.

So, have you shopped at World Market before? Do you have any favorite pieces from this round up or from your own site browsing?

Have a great weekend, y’all!
