Look for Less: Furniture & Decor Finds - Edition #7
It’s time for another round of the Look for Less!
If this is your first time stumbling across this series, here’s a quick explanation of what it’s all about: I hunt down two lookalike products - one that falls in the more budget-friendly category and one that’s a bit more of a splurge.
One isn’t necessarily better than the other - they’re just different! I love finding pieces that have high style and a low price point, but, price does often correlate to quality, so bear that in mind as you’re comparing the products. This semi-regular series is one of my favorites to pull together here on the blog.
I’d love for you to chime in on which ones would you “save” on and which ones would you “splurge” on!
Here’s what I’ve got for today: a brass dome pendant light, an end table with caning detail, a Persian-style rug, a modern metal frame chair, and a round light wood coffee table. Scroll on down to check them all out!
Brass Dome Pendant Light: Low* | High
I’ve been falling hard for these dome-style pendant lights lately. They’re a simple statement piece, and can blend in well with a variety of decorating styles. The hammered detail adds a little something extra and tones down the modern feel just a tad. They’re the same width at 24”, which is a pretty big dome! Both versions are pretty reasonably priced, so if you want to “splurge” this is a good opportunity!
White End Tables with Cane Detail: Low | High
Cane and rattan are having a moment right now and I’m here for it. These are some pretty elegant end tables (or would make great nightstands as well), don’t you think? I like the two tone look with the white frame and natural cane detailing on the drawers. Which would you choose?
Vintage-Style Persian Rug : Low | High
Vintage-style Persian rugs continue to be popular, and for good reason! The look is timeless and beautiful. Rugs definitely fall into the category of “You often get what you pay for,” so keep that in mind! I’ve been really impressed with some of the budget-friendly ones though.
The price here is for an 8x10, which is a great size for many living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms. The “low” option is on sale right now for a ridiculously low price. It’s a printed rug, which is quite different from the hand-knotted “high” version, but man, what a deal!
Natural Wood Round Coffee Table : Low | High
This is a true look for less option for you! These round wood coffee tables are both 36” in diameter and have similar finishes and styles. The price difference is pretty significant, isn’t it? Though the lines are a bit different, the look and feel is the same. I like the lighter tone of the wood and the simplicity of the design in both of these.
Metal Frame Modern Armchair: Low | High
These metal framed armchairs are really lovely accent pieces! You’d need to be selective on where you put them (those corners aren’t exactly kid-friendly!), but I love the lines on them and the “sling” style seat. They feel modern and sleek, but still look very comfortable. The “splurge” version looks like it has a slightly thicker cushion, otherwise these are pretty much dead-ringers for one another!
