Since I started offering e-design in 2015, my virtual decorating services have evolved and changed as I’ve learned what’s most beneficial for clients and what brings me joy as a designer. What hasn’t changed since I started Mix & Match is my approach to design and my overall goals - to offer affordable and accessible decorating services in a way that’s collaborative and anything but intimidating. If you’ve ever thought working with an interior designer was out of reach, think again! E-design might just be the perfect fit.
At the end of every year, I like to take stock of what I currently offer and ask myself, “Are there new or better ways I can serve my clients through e-design?” So far, ever year the answer has been yes, and so every year, I make updates to my e-design services accordingly. This year is no different, and I’m excited to share my newly structured packages with you today! If redecorating your home is on your agenda for 2019 and you’re looking for some guidance, read on!
Before we dive into the details for each of my e-design packages, I want to talk about the importance of making sure your style matches up well with your designer’s. When you’re working with someone on decorating your home, you want to make sure that they can achieve your goals, and style is a BIG part of that. Sure, most designers would say that they can pull together just any look, but your goal should be to find someone who is already designing in the style you love and want for your own home.
It’s just like when you’re choosing what restaurant to go to for a meal - you wouldn’t show up at a Chinese restaurant and ask them to make you a burger, would you? While they probably could cook up a burger for you, you know it’s not their specialty or what they enjoy cooking. You’re better off sticking to their menu! It’s the same when you’re choosing a designer; take a look at their portfolio and see if it resonates with you. If you find yourself loving what you’re seeing without a second thought, it’s a good fit, and you’ll both enjoy working together!
My design style is simple, comfortable, and cozy with a modern twist. I love to pull pieces from different styles and blend them together to create a clean-lined, laid-back look - coastal, mid-century, industrial, modern, and farmhouse tend to show up frequently in my designs! I’ve got a few sample design boards that offer a peek at my style below, as well as a few more scattered throughout the rest of the post that show you some examples. THE FULL ROOM E-DESIGN PACKAGE
The basics:
Ready to give a space in your home a brand new look? The full room e-design package may be the perfect fit. We’ll work together to create a custom design for your room from the ground up while incorporating any existing pieces you’d like to keep (if applicable). You'll fill out an informational survey about your project, and provide photos, measurements, and inspiration images, and then I'll get to work! The start-to-finish timeline for this package varies, but once I have your project information in hand, it typically takes about 1-2 weeks for me to put together an initial design for a single room.
Once your design is ready, I’ll share it with you via my private client portal where you’ll be able to offer feedback and comments. I’ll provide up to three additional options for each piece to refine the design if needed. Once the design is finalized, I’ll upload your shopping list and you’ll take it from there to purchase the pieces and put your new brand new, beautiful room together!
This package is perfect for living rooms (including family rooms, great rooms, and other living spaces), dining rooms, bedrooms, nurseries, children’s bedrooms, and home offices. Have a kitchen or bathroom to design? Contact me for details on how we can work together.
What’s included:
Selection of furniture, decor (including wall art, mirrors, pillows, and rugs), lighting, ready-made curtains/shades, and paint color recommendations as needed for the room
A design board, which is a visual representation of what your space will look like with the recommended furniture and decor
A to-scale floor plan of the room layout
A shopping list with links to the products and purchasing information
What’s not included:
Specific room styling accessories (e.g. bookshelf and tabletop decor)
Selection or design of custom furniture
Selection or design of custom window treatments
Package price: $595 (single room) or $765 (oversized, multipurpose, or open concept space)

THE SPACE PLANNING PACKAGE
The basics:
Need help figuring out how to lay out and set up your room? I’ll help you create a floor plan that makes the best use of the space, maintains good flow, and gives you actionable information that you take with you as you shop for new pieces. Having a vision for how to set up your room along with the dimensions of the pieces you need to look for will help you create a space that feels "right," be a smart shopper, and prevent costly mistakes. I'll work with your existing furniture and/or provide recommendations for approximate sizes of additional pieces to complete the space. If you're starting from scratch with an empty room, that's fine too!
Once I have the information I need about your room, I'll get to work on the space plan and share it with you via my online client portal (the turnaround time is typically about one week for a single room). You'll then have an opportunity to provide feedback and I’ll make up to two revisions as needed. When the plan is finalized, you'll receive a document with the recommended approximate dimensions for each new item in addition to the visual layout.
What’s included:
A digital space plan showing the furniture layout and room dimensions
Up to two rounds of revisions to tweak the plan to your needs
Recommended dimensions for furniture pieces if additional items are needed
Written information to accompany the visual space plan
What’s not included:
Design and style direction
Recommendations for specific pieces of furniture and decor
Package price: $225 (single room) or $275 (oversized, multipurpose, or open concept space)

VIRTUAL DESIGN CONSULTATION
The basics:
Want to spend some time with me discussing your home and get some design advice? A virtual consultation might be just what you need. Maybe you have a smattering of design dilemmas in different areas of your home that need solving, or maybe you have ideas, but need a second set of eyes to make sure you’re on the right track with a project. Whatever the need is, we can talk about it over a video call! Once we finish our chat, I’ll put together follow up information to send to you that includes ideas, product recommendations, and/or inspiration that’s tailored to helping you move forward with your project(s).
Please note that because this consultation does not involve the creation of a design board or floor plan, any product recommendations are meant to be inspiration only. Always verify to make sure the furniture or decor is the right fit for your home in regards to style, size, and scale.
What’s included:
Up to an hour-long video call using FaceTime or Skype (additional hours are available to purchase as needed)
One-time follow up information either via email or my online client portal depending on what’s needed
What’s not included:
A design board
A to-scale floor plan
Package price: $195 for the first consultation hour + follow up information/resources. Each additional consultation hour is $145.
Fine print: to reserve your spot and schedule your consult, payment must be received for the first hour of time. If additional hours are needed, those may be purchased immediately following the completion of the call.
