Look for Less: Furniture & Decor Finds - Edition #9
The Look for Less is back for round 9!
It’s been a few months since I shared one of these and today I’ve got SIX fun pieces of furniture and decor for you. Time to decide whether you want to save or splurge!
I love finding lookalike pieces. It’s amazing how similar some can be to one another. There are some really good ones out there these days! I should note that price does often correlate to quality, so keep that in mind as you’re comparing the products. There are definitely times when it makes sense to take the plunge and invest in something for your home, but mixing in affordable home decor definitely gets hearty approval in my book.
Here’s what I’ve got for you today: a pretty striped lumbar pillow (with tassels!), a black and natural wood arched cabinet,
I’d love for you to chime in on which ones would you “save” on and which ones would you “splurge” on!

Striped Tassel Lumbar Pillow :
High | Low
Yes, these are two different sizes, but the look is super similar! I love the subtle neutral stripes on these coastal-inspired throw pillows. The tassels add a little fun, but they still feel tailored and grown up.
The splurge is a 14”x40” pillow and the save is 12”x20”. One way to mimic the length of the long lumbar is to use two of the smaller ones - you’d still come out spending less! I do love the look of an extra long lumbar these days, so I might be inclined to hit the splurge button on this one. Note that these are both pillow covers only - you’ll need to purchase inserts separately.
Black and Natural Wood Arched Cabinet: High | Low
Gosh, aren’t both of these gorgeous? The arch makes these feel extra special. The “low” version of this arched cabinet has a slightly heavier visual feel to it with the black backdrop inside the top half, but other than that, they’re pretty similar! I think I’d save my pennies on this one.
Modern Stoneware Dinner Plates: High | Low
I don’t share a ton of true tabletop decor on here, but when I spotted the “save” version of these dinner plates, I knew I had to pass them along. I’ve seen a lot of iterations of these out there lately, and I think they’ve got that casual-cool, earthy vibe going on that I’m loving these days. The save version has a little more going on with texture and has a flecked finish. I really like both though! I’m undecided on which way I’d go here.
Pottery-Inspired Table Lamp : High | Low
There’s a trend going around right now with pottery-inspired lamps and both of these fit the bill! They bring a great old world feel to a more modern space.
In general, the most beautiful, high-end looking ones I’ve found come at a price, but I think the save version here is pretty good too. This table lamp style tends to be oversized, so be sure that you give it a home on top of a piece that can handle it.
Gauzy Navy Throw Blanket: High | Low
More cozy blankets, I say! I have a gauzy blanket that’s similar to these and man, it’s quickly become one of my favorites. It’s great year-round and it’s easy to roll up and stow away. They also make great end-of-bed blankets if they’re large enough! I think I’d lean toward saving in this case because I love the fringed edge. The splurge is pretty reasonably priced too though!
Ribbed Terracotta Planter: High | Low
These larger scale planters are actually made of different materials! The high version is made of terracotta (heavy!) and the low version is a lightweight fiber concrete blend. There’s not a huge price difference here, but I kind of like the weathered look of the save version. It has a softer tone - like terracotta that’s been out in the sun for a long time.
